Voigtlander 50mm f2 VM ASPH Apo-Lanthar Lens

Voigtlander only gives the APO-Lanthar title to high-performance products, those with “outstanding imaging performance”. 

Optically the lens is constructed of 10 elements in eight groups, with two abnormally dispersed glass elements and two double-sided aspherical lenses along with a floating mechanism. This produces perfectly circular bokeh wide open and also closed down as far as f/5.6 thanks to its 12-bladed diaphragm. The apochromat design produces the “ultimate performance” in regards resolution and contrast.

The lens is manual-focus only, adopting an all-metal helicoid unit that has been assembled and adjusted with high-precision and high-quality grease, it produces even torque and focuses smoothly, delicately, and precisely.
